Rachel Hibbitts. (Clinic Owner)

Dr. Rachel graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2002. She has worked in South Africa for 3 years before settling back in College Station. She loves small animal medicine and enjoys caring for those furry family members. She has a special interest in internal medicine. She is married to Dr. Toby Hibbitts, a herpetologist at Texas A&M. She has 2 wonderful daughters, and a geriatric dog named Idgie. She also has two rascally cats, Smokey Joe and Macaroni. Her hobby is family time and spending it with her daughters and extended family.

Johan Nieuwoudt , DVM, Ph.D.

Dr. Johan Nieuwoudt grew up in Zimbabwe. He did his undergraduate studies in Johannesburg, South Africa, and came to the United States to receive a Ph.D. in Physics. After doing research in geophysics for Shell Oil, he decided to attend vet school at Texas A&M University and graduated in 1999. He loves being a vet, especially internal medicine, surgeries (soft tissue and orthopedic), ultrasonography and endoscopy. He is the proud owner of five cats: Peep, Purrvert, Puck, Minus and Zoe. His hobbies include woodworking and reading poetry.

 

Sarah Hodge, DVM 

Dr. Sarah Schrank is a 2011 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Her veterinary background is in mixed animal practice with a special interest in surgery. She enjoys shooting sports and creating mosaic pottery in her free time. She has an 8 year old pit bull named Wrangler.

 

 Lindsey Shipp, DVM

Dr. Shipp was born and raised in Grapevine, TX. She earned her bachelor's degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences and later her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University. Her favorite part of treating animals is getting to witness and impact the wonderful bond between a person and their beloved pet. Dr. Shipp's professional interests include internal medicine, cardiology, and dentistry. Additionally, she has a special interest in pocket pets and other exotics. She is happy to see gerbils, hamsters, mice, rats, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, and sugar gliders. She enjoys treating urban chickens and hopes to continue to educate herself and clients in this emerging medical field. Dr. Shipp is a CRAZED Aggie sports fan and will often be seen wearing her maroon scrubs on Aggie football game days. Her life is occupied by two Australian Shepherds, Maverick and Pepper, and one cat, Katniss Everdeen. She also has a sugar glider, Lily, who is content to hang out in the pocket of her shirt while lounging at home. 

 

 

Hillary Smith, DVM 

Dr. Smith was born and raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She received her BA in neuroscience and behavior from Wesleyan University in 1999, and subsequently moved to Texas to attend graduate school at Texas A&M University. She received her DVM in 2009 from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, and began her career as a mixed-animal practitioner, transitioning to small animal exclusive in 2015.  She is most interested in feline internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and pain management. She and her husband live in Navasota with their twin daughters, Catherine and Calista; two Jack Russell Terriers, Sadie and Jett; and a Rat Terrier, Tillie. Her hobbies include cheering on the Texas Rangers and reading.

 

 

 Sorin McKnight, DVM

Dr. Sorin McKnight was born and raised in Bandera, Texas. She earned her bachelors degree in animal science and a masters in reproductive physiology from Texas A&M. She worked as a technician at WRVMC while in undergrad prior to vet school. She graduated from veterinary school in 2016 and initially practiced at a mixed animal clinic for 1 year before returning to WRVMC to practice small animal medicine. Her favorite things to do are spend time with her husband Jason, their dog Maeby, and 2 cats, Dodge and Nibs. Her favorite thing about being a vet is talking with clients about their animals health and keeping their fur babies happy and healthy for as long as possible!

             Tatum Morgan

              Tatum is from Katy, Texas.  After graduating high school in 2007, she moved here in pursuit of a Business Management Degree, but her love for animals pulled her into the Veterinary field.  She was one of our full time receptionists and has been with our WRVMC team since October 2010. She just accepted the position as Practice Manager in April 2015. She and her boyfriend, Jesse, have a son together, Noah.  She also owns a Shih Tzu named Gunner and a cat named Randy.

 Breelan Statham

Breelan is originally from the Dallas area. She was a Dallas Cowboy's Cheerleader before moving to College Station. She became a tech at WRVMC September of 2015. She is currently at Texas A&M, studying Animal Science Production and Industry, and projected to graduate in 2018. She has a STRONG love for elephants and aspires to one day rescue and rehabilitate them!

 

 Calli Jabin

Calli is from Dallas, Texas! She became a technician for us in May 2016. She is currently enrolled in the Blinn Vet Tech Program, class of 2018. She loves working with animals and does not want to do anything else but care for them! Her two favorite animals, if she had to choose, would be dogs and horses. She loves going horse back riding, fishing and taking her Australian Shepherd Knox to the dog park. 

 

 Carissa Dale

 

 Christina Alvarez

Christina is an Entomology grad from Texas A&M with a certificate in Public Health. As well as having an interest in disease ecology, she is also interested in the conservation of native species of all kinds, not just insects. She is a reptile hobbyist who belonged to and served in the Herpetological Society on campus during her schooling. Christina also worked as an intern and volunteer for the Reptile Hospice of Texas and has rescued and rehabilitated several animals privately, as well. Her current list of pets include ball pythons, a corn snake, a California King snake, and two leopard geckos. Despite all her experience with things of the creepy-crawly nature, cockroaches still make her scream.

 Bridget Norris  

Bridget is originally from Katy, Texas and moved to College Station in 2009 to attend Texas A&M University. She graduated in May 2014 with her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Minor in Business Administration. She is currently a 2nd Year Veterinary Student at Texas A&M University, and plans to become a mixed animal practitioner, focusing on small animal and equine internal medicine, upon graduation. In her spare time she enjoys training and showing horses, traveling and spending time with her dogs Mitzi, Lola, Tia, and Paisley and her horse, Destiny.    

 

 

 Elaina Bonaventura

Elaina is from Houston, Texas. She is currently going to Blinn College to become a veterinary technician, graduating in 2019. In her free time she enjoys going on vacation with friends and family. 

 

 Jaycie Bush

Jaycie is from Livingston, Texas. After graduating high school in May 2017, she headed straight for College Station to begin her studies in hopes to become a veterinarian! Before coming to WRVMC, she earned her experience from Arena Vet Clinic in her home town, where she started working her junior year of high school. Arena Vet is a place she holds near and dear to her heart! 

 

Jenna Hamlett 

Jenna is from Waller, Texas. She graduated high school in 2014 and moved here right after! She is a sophomore at Texas A&M studying Animal Science, with hopes to Minor in Business and receive her Equine Certificate. Jenna devotes her extra time to Patriot Paws where she is involved in raising and training service dogs for disabled veterans. Molly her white lab, is her current dog in which she is raising and training.

 



 Jessica Salazar

After graduating high school in 2011, Jessica moved to Houston to attend the Vet Tech Institute. She has an associates degree in Veterinary Technology and became a licensed Veterinary Technician in 2014. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with all of her pets, including a miniature donkey, basset hound and terrier mix.

 

 Katrina Godbee

Katrina is from Sugarland, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M in 2015 with a bachelors in psychology and sociology. She is now taking classes to become a licensed veterinary technician. She has two blue heelers named Rascal and Sadie. When she's not at work, Katrina spends her time training dogs and traveling around Texas. 

 La'Nelle Hudson

La'Nelle comes from a large family! She has raised five children and now has plenty of 4 legged babies since her kids are all grown up. She loves being a kennel tech, which she has been doing for 13 years. Her second love are her plants! She cares for everyone's pet as if they were her own.

Rachelle Comsti 



Rachelle is from San Antonio, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University in 2014. She joined WRVMC in hopes of gaining more experience in small animal medicine before applying to veterinary school. Rachelle has two dogs, a 12 year old German Shepherd named Rhea, and a 3 year old Pembroke Corgi/Shih Tzu named Paladin. During her free time Rachelle loves to practice arnis martial arts, sketch and paint, and practice archery.

Sarah Lea Davison

Sarah Lea is from California.  She joined our Wellborn team in July 2010.  She is the happy mother of four amazing kids, two well-loved ferrets, and one fat cat.

 

 Shelby Gordon

Shelby is an Animal Science major and part of A&M’s Class of 2019. She grew up in a tiny town outside of Austin called McDade on a ranch where she realized her love for animals. After her undergraduate years she plans to attend Veterinary School here at A&M and eventually work as a mixed animal veterinarian. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog Minnie and traveling whenever she gets the chance.

 

Stefani Taylor

Stefani is originally from Katy, Texas. She graduated from Mayde Creek High School where she was heavily involved with the dance team and Future Farmers of America. She graduated in May 2013 from Texas A&M with a degree in Animal Science. She joined the WRVMC team in July of 2014 in hopes of becoming more knowledgeable about the field before applying to vet school. Stefani loves her job! She gets so much joy out of interacting with the patients and their owners everyday. Stefani and her husband, Justin, are proud owners of their Kelpie, Toby, and their two kitties, Baby and Bumper.
